What is New Construction vs. Remodel?
New Construction– Ideal for unfinished ceilings or for projects with extensive remodeling that require a replacement ceiling, and for existing ceilings where attic crawl space is sufficient to allow easy access for installation. Includes bar hangars to connect to your framing.
Remodel (sold separately) – These cans are inserted into pre-existing ceilings. There is no need to redo your entire ceiling. Great for limited access to crawl space.
Does this recessed can come with an LED?
They include a junction box but no LED light. You will need to purchase the LED separately.
How do I secure your New Construction Cans?
Sunco New Construction Cans include bar hangers that are secured to framing prior to installation of drywall and ceiling materials. Also suitable for suspended ceilings. Quickly install them into framing during buildout of an existing or new building. Make sure your hangars are level with the bottom of your joists.
Are Sunco recessed cans airtight and IC rated?
